NORAH SEVILLE - Ballyglass

The colour of this dresser struck me straight away. It was the dresser of Norah’s uncle who lived in the old dwelling house which Norah and her husband converted some years back. Norah told me that she just managed to save it from complete destruction, after the workmen who were renovating the old house threw it out into the yard during a clear out. She got it just in the nick of time and saved it from complet destruction. It now holds bits and pieces from the life of her uncle as well as from her own family life. I came across a relation of Norah’s in Kilkenny who had a plate from this actual dresser on her own dresser in Kilkenny. The shapes on top of the dresser are fantastic.
